Countries all over the world have realized the importance of environmental protection, signed conventions and issued declarations to wake up the world's human beings to work together to protect and improve the environment, so as to ensure and improve the quality of life of all human beings.
The traditional environmental management model is no longer in line with the actual needs, and should focus on the enterprise's spontaneous, holistic, preventive and systematic environmental management mode in line with international standards, in order to achieve the requirements of comprehensive environmental management.
In addition to adhering to the above-mentioned concepts, Simplo Technology Co., Ltd. abides by the environmental protection laws and regulations of the government and fulfill corporate social responsibility, to create a good working environment, protect the physical and psychological health of employees, so as to realize the company's tenet of "contributing to the society with the highest quality" with product quality as the pioneer and environmental quality as the backing, so as to give consideration to the sustainable development of the enterprise and environmental protection:
(1) The ISO14001 environmental management system is implemented at the time of production.
(2) In March 2007, the company obtained the ISO14001 environmental management system certificate for the first time.
(3) In September 2010, to obtain a certificate of QC08000 Hazardous Substance Process Management System.
(4) In July 2018, it passed the verification of the new version of the environmental management system of "ISO14001:2015" and obtained the certificate.

SMP as a world citizen, we promise to follow OECD guidance to conduct due diligence investigation on products containing Ta, Tin, Tungsten, Gold, Cobalt and for all our supply chain members. At the meantime, SMP will request vendors to procure non-conflict materials proven by organizations such as Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative's Conflict-Free Smelter Program. SMP will also provide consultation and urge vendors to use only compliant smelters and to help improve the smelters to achieve conflict-free goals.Greenhouse Gas Emission Examination and Reduction by our Supplier：
To react the phenomena of global warming and extreme climate change, Simplo Group includes its main downstream suppliers into the scope of compliance check of Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emission. We request suppliers to follow Simplo Group's step to bear their social responsibility as well. We have conducted the management of Greenhouse Gas Emission Examination and Reduction with our key suppliers.

Energy Saving
Energy Saving Management：To achieve our environmental policy and objectives in energy saving, emission reduction, greening operations and recycling, we carry out a comprehensive environmental protection and energy saving plan, which has already greatly reduced our impact on the environment and saving production cost as well.
1. We actively develop employee education and training program to strengthen energy-saving awareness and improve employees' ability to save resources.
2. We implement, monitor and promote the project of energy saving management, energy statistics, and analysis, environmental protection and energy saving.
3. For meetings, we try to promote to bring our own cups; no paper cups or bottled water.
4. Except for the official document for executive officer’s approval or the other necessary requirement, we make double-sided copies and use recycled paper.
5. The water equipment is inspected by the specific assigned person regularly. If any leakage is found, it will be repaired by facility engineer immediately.
6. The devices in the office are set to power-saving condition. It will be automatically switched to a low-power and sleeping mode after 5 to 10 minutes standstill.。
7. After work or when machines or devices will not be used for a longer period (such as computers and screens, printers, copiers, etc.), the main devices and their peripherals shall be turned off to prevent wasting standby power.
8. We keep improving our equipment actively, such as replace the power switch with the sensor for lighting and tap to use electricity and water resources friendly.
Energy Saving in our Factory：
1. Our factories adopt high-efficiency manufacturing processes, obsolete and stop inefficient production processes, significantly reducing the consumption of heat and energy. In addition, we recover residual heat from equipment to supply hot bath water. Total heat recovery is 0.59 MKcal.2. Even as we have expanded our production capacity and manpower, we have achieved our goals and keep the distinguished results of reducing carbon dioxide emissions, through energy-saving program and R&D of energy-saving technology.
Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emission:
Reuse, recycling, and reduction of greenhouse gas emission also influence our supply partners.Our annual total recycle rate for solid waste is ≦ 1%

Halogen-free Production Processes:
We actively cooperate with our customers to manufacture halogen-free products and setup related plans. We investigate and mandate our supplier to set up the halogen-free production process, and bring up our halogen-free requirement to clients. Our company has purchased testing equipment for rapid screening for the six RoHS substances and halogen compounds to control the production of halogen-free products.Water Resource Management:
In the World Economic Forum’s 2019 Global Risk Report, the water supply crisis has been identified as the fourth greatest risk to society over the next decade. Shortfall of the available global water supply is expected by 2030, according to the UN. With the growing uncertainties of global climate change, the importance of water management grows vastly.
Simplo has long been committed to improving water resource management. We keep pursuing innovative technologies to conserve water, recycle water, reuse water and retain water. In addition, we constantly educate our employees the importance of water conservation, and strive to control the water consumption at a reasonable level.
Looking forward, for our major manufacturing site in ChongQing, we’ve set a goal to reduce the water consumption amount by 0.5% year over year through 2023.
Water Consumption Review:
In 2020, for Simplo ChongQing factory, 100% of the water was tap water supplied by the ChongQing government, whose source is from the JiaLing River.
The total amount of water consumption in 2020 was 58,407 tons, mainly used for cooling towers, restaurants, and the bathrooms. The WPI ( Water Productivity Intensity ) was 6.99 m3 per million RMB.

Water Conservation Project:
In 2020, Simplo ChongQing factory adopted water-saving faucets factory-wide. It can save us roughly 25.3 tons of water per day, 7,590 tons per year.
Water Conservation Measures:
We well recognize the importance and urgency of water conservation. In our ChongQing factory, we keep evaluating and trying effective solutions for
1. Toilet water usage adjustment.
2. Condensate recycling and reuse.
3. Rainwater retaining and reuse.
4. Cooling tower and RO-rejected water reuse.
Wastewater Treatment:
1. Simplo ChongQing factory has built sewerage facilities that ensure the rainwater and factory sewage can be discharged through separate distributaries. We also conduct weekly internal inspections to prohibit illegal wastewater discharge.
2. Arrange certified 3rd party inspection every year to assure our rainwater and wastewater discharge system complies with laws and regulations.
3. All wastewater produced by the factory will be discharged to a biochemical sedimentation tank for pretreatment first. Once the government regulation GB8979-1996 standard is met, the treated wastewater will then be discharged into the municipal sewerage system.
4. For rainwater discharge, we abide by the government regulation of GB3838-2002.
